    First, make sure that the fields you want to sort on have the “sortable” checkbox checked in the field definition (Manage Database Fields page).

    This feature relies on javascript, so there is a chance that other functionality on the page is interfering. If you see the triangles after the field title in the header row of the list, but nothing happens when you click, then something is keeping the javascript from working. One thing to try is to put the list shortcode on its own page, see if that works. If you want to go deeper with this, open the browser developer tools console and look for javascript errors.

    I found out that the problem was with the “Page Builder (SiteOrigin)” plugin. Everything is now under control …
