• Is there any way to upload a pdf file to the media library? A friend has set up a FTP site but I would much rather use the Media upload and have all files there. I have many times attempted to upload a pdf file but all I get is an error message.
Or is there any way to not use the FTP program to upload a variety of basic files?
The site is not changed frequently as it is used for a youth sports team. Thanks for any help. BIG thanks.

  • What does the error message say when you try to upload the file? How big is the PDF file you are trying to upload.

The web host that the site is hosted on my have a maximum file size that can be uploaded so you’ll have to check with them to see whether or not they are the issue or if it is something to do with WordPress that can be changed.

Thanks for the reply, When I attempt to upload, “error saving media attachment.” shows up. Under flash uploader “The uploaded file could not be moved to E:\www-data\snoopy\intetpub\wwwroot\subsite/wp-content/uploads. ” I have never been able to upload files to the media library.
Now I attempted to upload a jpeg picture and got “error saving media attachment”. The place where I pay to host it should have plenty of space for what I am doing.
    Any help will be used.

Which web host are you using if you don’t mind me asking? Looks like you are running under Windows instead of Linux hosting.

I would assume Windows. Linux would be out of my league on using every day.
