PDF file character encoding

  • Hi,

    I’m using your plugin to export a PDF with ACF custom fields. Everything works great except for the name of the file name when exporting. If using special characters (i.e. ?, ?, ?, é, etc.), the file name is incorrect. This is possibly due to incorrect character encoding. Is it possible to default the file name to UTF-8?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately we could not replicate issue on our side and file name remains correctly while export.

    1. What browser are you using?
    2. What characters are you getting instead ?, ?, ?, é?
    3. Did you put [meta key=”test”] inside “Settings” -> “PDF Name” while Template editing?
    4. Did you setup utf8 encoding for your website? Check also please how ACF saving this values inside MYSQL table and if you have correct encoding with it.
    5. If possible we need also some screenshots with the process of export, file name setup and result so we can try to replicate it.
