I use wp-filebase on two sites and it’s great at organizing and presenting files for download (mostly pdf). However, I always have to prompt the user to “right-click and save as” otherwise it opens in the browser and needs to be saved. It would be great if it downloaded the file without opening. I tried editing my .htaccess file but I’m not an Apache whiz and Dreamhost has a notice “DO NOT EDIT” inside the file. I keep thinking there must be a way within wp-filebase to modify this behavior. I appreciate any help. You can see the problem here: https://btfarm.org/2012/?page_id=14

Now I feel stupid! I found the checkbox to force download of files. Works fine in IE8 but not yet in Chrome. I will try it from another machine.
