PDF Generation question / issue

Hello! I have a question about the PDF that is generated.

When I choose that the PDF should be viewed in a new window, the result is a not-understandable mesh of text with random characters:

When I choose that it should be downloaded locally, the result is a PDF file cannot be opened from my downloads list in my browser (as Normal PDFs should be able to do). I have to go to the folder where it is saved, and then open it directly from the folder.
