• Resolved Printed Perfection

    Hello,

I am having an issue with my PDF Invoices & Packing Slips. I changed web hosts recently, so there could be something there, but otherwise I do not know of any changes to my site, other than standard updates. My new webhost has more memory and is designed for WordPress.

When I click to create an invoice or packing slip I get a 404 error. Nothing is flagging in the status tab, and when I turn on the debug option I am not getting any messages or issues popping up. I should also message that when I go into the general tab I can see the invoice and packing slips that it thinks were printed.

Hoping someone can give me advice. I don’t know if this is a plug in problem or if I need to reach out to WordPress hosting.

    Thank you!
    Jeanne

This is likely an issue with the invoices using an incorrect URL. Do you have another plugin on the site that creates invoices? Also, does this error occur on new orders?

The incorrect url kind of hits a familiar string. Shortly after migrating to the new hosting I noticed that some urls were going to printedperfectiondotcom.wpstaging.com, which is the staging site that they moved me to before going live. I reached out to support and they said they used an add on and changed the urls. However, I do not see any plug in that looks like it changes urls, so I am guessing they installed it, fixed the urls and removed it. I would have to reach out to them to confirm for sure.

The packing slips and invoices printed fine previously, but the 404 error is happening on all orders now, old and new. If this helps, this is what one of the urls looks like: https://shop.printedperfection.com/wcpdf/invoice/63642/62220836b0/pdf

Should I reach out to WP support?

@printedperfection could you please go under “Settings > Permalinks” and hit the “Save Changes” button.

Let us know if that works.

I don’t know what you spoke into existence there, but that fixed the problem!

    Thank you so very much!
