PDF is corrupted after downloading

First of all, I’ve got to say this is a great plugin! Thank you for your great work with developing this!
The problem I’m having is the following:
I’ve gotten everything setup and working properly with DOIFD, but have been facing one issue that I have not been able to figure out. I have created a PDF and made it available for download and everything goes great with the process of signing up and so forth until the file is downloaded from the link in the email. Upon downloading and opening the PDF, this error message is given:“There was an error opening this document. The file was damaged and could not be repaired.”
I have tested this on multiple machines and with multiple users and the same error occurs each time. The PDF that I upload opens fine before it is downloaded so this does not appear to be an Adobe Acrobat/Reader issue, an issue with the original file, or a machine-related issue, but rather an issue with the file getting corrupted after it is uploaded or when it is downloaded.
Any thoughts on what I need to do to correct this issue?
