PDF Search?

    I’m playing around with Algolia right now for a new site I’m putting together. The instant search results are great. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to easily index PDFs. I don’t need the contents of the PDFs to be searchable. I just want the title of the PDF to be searchable. The site is for a school. They have PDFs like Tuition Information, Admissions Information, etc. I would like parents to be able to search for “Tuition” and have the “Tuition Information” PDF show up in the instant search results. I’d appreciate any thoughts on whether this is possible. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Searching on just the titles is do-able with some coding and the usage of some of the filter hooks made available.

    You will need though to figure out how to retrieve the pdf title on your side and push that as part of the records sent to Algolia.
