pdf slideshow

Help! Can anyone recommend a slideshow that takes pdf files? Tried scores of slideshows but none of them take pdf – frustratingly, none of them says what files/images they take so I have to install it to find out by trying to use it. Surely there is one for pdf files? Preferably a free one. Thank you.
