I just installed WordPress and am learning to use it. I have never done anything like this before so most of the language is pretty new to me.

Here is the problem that I am running into. I have uploaded the PDF into the media gallery. I linked it to my page, but when I try to view it on the test site I get this error.

( ! ) Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in C:\wamp\www\testsite\wp-content\themes\responsive\includes\functions.php on line 452

I am running Wampserver. I don’t know if that makes a difference. Thank you in advance for your help.

I discovered my problem. A stupid oversight. I was clicking the add media button, and adding my PDF. In the twenty twelve theme it would take me to another page where I would click the link again, which would open my PDF. In the responsive them I would just get an error. I just had to go to my library and copy the file URL and use it for my link. I appreciate all of your help.

No problem, please close the topic as resolved if there’s nothing else.

    Thanks,
    Emil ??
