PDFs got duplicated

  • Hello

    I had about 40 PDFs that I had uploaded with FTP. Your plug-in let me select them and imported to the Media library.

    But: it duplicated all the PDFs in the Uploads folder, with “-1” added to the names of the new ones. These were the ones imported to the Media library

    Any way I can avoid this?

    As this is the first report I’ve heard of this happening, I’m going to assume that’s been caused by WordPress adding extra PDF support after the plugin was written many many years (8+) ago.

    At present there’s no intention to fix bugs such as this, however hopefully I’ll keep it in mind for whenever (if) an update for the plugin is made.

    If you can at all, please don’t use FTP and this plugin, just use the WordPress uploader.
    If you must use the plugin, you may be able to work around it by uploading into a folder OTHER than wp-content/uploads (such as wp-content/pdfs) and letting it import it over to the library, that might help.
