Pencil icon is missing from post images when editing

    The pencil icon is not visible when I click on or hover over an image while I am trying to edit a post. Can anyone please advise. Without this, I am not able to edit the images and thus complete the editing of my posts.

    Has anyone seen this problem before?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    The problem was that my theme needed to be updated. My old theme lost that functionality with the 3.9 update. Updating my theme resolved the issue. Thank you.
