I posted this the other day (refer below) however, although I changed it, it changed itself back. have I done something to trigger this? I’ve gone back into where I had my name and removed it once again, but this time it wont stay.

My query is in relation to the use of multi-sites.

    Version: 5.6.1 @wordpressIOS

To date I have created three websites with WordPress, one is a journal, the other I use for occasional writing and the third I use to post reviews of the books I’ve read.

I’m a writer, who also happens to be a reader that likes to review. I’d very much like to keep my writing seperate to my reviewing.

Currently the blog for my reviews shows my author name clearly at the top. I would like to hide it from both the casual observer, and anyone trying to dig for it.

I’d rather continue to logon using my email identification and have the ability to hop from one of my sites to the other with the ease that I’m currently experiencing. Further, being able to view all my statistics together appeals to me greatly and I hope to put them to good use further down the track.

I have no desire to create a fake login identity to be able to achieve anonymity with my review blog. Is there anyway where I can achieve my aims please? Any suggestions (other than creating a fake login), would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve hunted around the forums to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and assistance.

Are you using a custom theme for the site in question where your name appears? Is it the same theme applied for all your multi-sites?

All are currently free themes, and none of them are the same.

My author site uses Dusk to Dawn theme; this is the one I setup first.
    The journal I’m using Expound.
For the blog on reviews I’m using Penscratch.

I have been able to remove my name and replace it with Leave a comment. Thank you.

I’m not totally clear what “changed itself back” and where you’ve been removing your name.

If your name is displaying on the front end (public side) of your site it can be hidden with custom CSS. If you can provide a link to your site I’d be glad to help with that.

    Hi Kathryn,

I gave up on Penscratch and have loaded a theme which no longer shows my name. Thank you for your query.

And to assuage your curiousity – yes, my name was displaying in the front end of the site. My apologies for wasting your time.
