    No caps, please. Thank you.

Can you please provide a link to your blog so we can investigate?

Please describe what actually happens when they “cannot comment”.

https://www.xoxolovesavages.com it tells ppl that its invalid & just won’t let them post…on my wordpress app for blackberry there is a red&white triangle with an exclamation point n tha middle.. I’m confused please help…

I’ve had 2 clients who ran into this problem. It’s not easy to fix. You need a WordPress expert who will be able to access your comments.php and other php files and readjust them. I’ve not found an easy fix for this but can rewrite the php files so that the comments come back online.

You might want to deactivate your plugins to see whether a plugin is interfering with your comments.

I did try to comment on your site and got the “Invalid…”

I’ve seen it before and it’s a tough one.

It’s the WP Captcha Free plugin. Just disable it and all should be fine.

If you want spam protection, activate the Akismet plugin. It should have been included with your WordPress installation and can be activated via the “Plugins” section of the admin panel. If it’s not there, go to the “Add new” sub-section and search for “Akismet”.

    Akismet isn’t a free service it seems…
I’ve had the same problem, so I tried the standard theme, but the problem remains:
Whenever I want to leave a comment, there’s a line that says “Leave a Reply
You must be logged in to post a comment.”.
So, I log in, but I get the same line, even after refreshing. No comment box for me. Had this problem since WP2.1, and now with WP3.0 the problem still isn’t solved… 3 years without comments ??

    my site: https://www.raymondhaaken.nl/
my theme is based on Driver 1.0
Strangely enough I did get comments in the first month or so (using WP2.1 I think). But then it just stopped.
I did change some settings back then, because I wanted people to:
    – be logged in before commenting
    – have at least 1 previously approved comment
Which is all I need to keep spammers at bay. Akismet isn’t free, and Captcha has issues apparently. But still no luck.

VirtualLee solved my problem more or less:

The blog directory and the blog location were not the same. They were listed under the General Tab as:

    https://bfmcmillen.com/blogdirectory
    https://www.bfmcmillen.com

    Changed that to:

    https://www.bfmcmillen.com/blogdirectory
    https://www.bfmcmillen.com

    and the issue resolved.

This solved not only my problems of not being able to preview my edits, but ALSO the problem I had that I could not leave comments myself! The page constantly asked me to log in before leaving a reply (which I want users to do, to minimize spam), but even when I was logged in, the comment box would not appear, only the line telling me to please log in first.
I wanted my URL to show my domain name, and not the actual hosting address, so I used the actual URL for the blog location, and my domainname for the page URL. Changed both to https://www.my-domainname.nl(/blog), problem solved! Thanks again!!

Resolved for me at least ??
