• People can’t comment on my posts.
I’m using the D_law theme which I purchased through MojoMarketplace.
Ever since I started my self-hosted page, I keep having problems with all kinds of issues. When I try to comment it says:
    403 Permission denied

I have a guy on fivver.com who has helped me a lot, but I can’t keep paying for these little glitches. I am not a specialist for all the technical stuff on wp.org

    I appreciate any help!

    My url is https://coellefornia.us

  • This is a jetpack error. I think maybe starting a thread with them might be more helpful for you. The only advice I can think of is the standards to make sure you have comments enabled in the admin settings, try deactivating your plugins, one at a time and then the theme (switch to wordpress stock theme Twentyseventeen) and trying to post a comment after each change, to see if there is a conflict. You might also try deactivating the jetpack plugin and reactivating it to see if that helps.

I already tried to deactivate and activate the jetpack plugin. I don’t really want to change my theme, because I paid for mine and I like it. But I get the impression that the theme might cause some of the problems. The comments are enabled and I checked the single posts as well. I will try to active other plugins. I sent messages to Jetpack twice, but so far no response.
Thank you very much for your help!

If you deactivate the theme for a wordpress stock theme (temporarily) and the comments work then you will have it narrowed down to the theme and then maybe you can ask the theme author to fix/update it.
