I have activated the plugin and I have the registration option for my main site but I don’t have the registration option for my subsite. I want to register on a per-site basis. I created a page on the subsite and inserted the shortcode but when I go to that page when I am not logged in it tells me that registration is disabled. When I go to that page while logged in as network admin it tells me I am currently allowing all registrations…

My network is allowing registrations and I have checked the box to use per-site registration on the main site. What am I doing wrong?

    Does the sidebar widget work?

Yes. I used the sidebar widget and it added me (network admin) as a user. When I simulate a visitor that is not registered with the network there is no button for the widget and the page I created for registrations is stating that the registration is disabled.

I just tested on a clean site and everything works as expected.

On /wp-admin/network/settings.php what option did you check?

    Also are you using BuddyPress?

I checked the option to allow creation of users and sites.

yes, I am using Buddypress. Now that I think about it I named the register page the same as my BP registration.

I haven’t tested this with BuddyPress. I’ll try to get to that this weekend and see if I can sort out where the disconnect is happening. The hooks may be clashing with BP’s though.

Are you running any other login plugins?

    Thanks for your help.

I am running a multisite that is primarily based off of wpmudev.org plugins. Buddypress is network activated. The plugin on the client site that could be causing login problems is called Classifieds by wpmudev.

To loop back. The plugin runs fine on a clean install of BP.

Classifieds is not a plugin I have access to test with ??
