Image Editor – Image Does Not Appear (thumbnail does)

  • When trying to edit an image using the built-in WordPress “Edit Image” to crop it, the image itself does not appear, so I cannot click & drag to crop it. The thumbnail does appear correctly. This happens with all images.

    WordPress 4.9.5
    PHP 5.5.9
    PHP-GD is installed correctly
    No console errors

    I have found a few forum topics but none with a stated solution.
