• For a couple of days ago, my sites started to recieve massive bruteforce attacks from Russia. Sucuri Security plugin send me reports constantly, stating that failed login attempts were going on. First of I installed Jetpack, which helped me out. It blocked roughly 90% of the attempts, but I were still receiving messages regarding failed attempts.

I started out by changing my nginx conf-file to block RU-location IP’s, but I believe this is an better solution. More easier to reconfigurate, in cases where the BruteForce attacks reroutes, and starts from ex. Mexico.

Good job, easy to use, and does the job perfectly.

    Hi unicco,

Before developing this plugin, I also was used to add the IPs in my .htaccess which were really unproductive work. Of course, Jetpack is a great plugin but too heavy for my site. That’s the motivation for me to develop this plugin.

And I also found a lot of vulnerable plugins and themes (or even WP core!) at https://wpvulndb.com/ conducted by Sucuri. That’s the anothor motivation.

So I’m very glad to hear your feed back. Thanks for your nice rating!
