Perfect SEO Url plugin?

    Good morning community!

    I am using the WooCommerce Perfect SEO Url plugin to redirect product URLs in Woocommerce.

    After Woocommerce update 3.3, these redirects stopped working.

    Has anyone else used it or found a solution?

  • There are many issues with 3.3 version of Woocommerce plugin. I’d suggest to roll it back to 2.6 and wait for 3.3.1.

    Can’t imagine why the 3.3 update would affect redirects.

    Did your product URLs change?

    That plugin says it removes “/product” and “/product-category”. Removing category base is not supported.

    This type of error could happen anytime due to a permalink flush for example.

    Try re-saving your permalinks to see if that helps, else you will need to contact the plugin authors as they are doing something pretty odd.

    Could potentially also have to do with the new default “uncategorized” category. If your products had a category base set for permalinks and some products didn’t have a category, the url would have changed.

    Thanks all for the help!

    Effectively, the plugin removes “/product” and “/product-category”.

    Temporarily I have returned to the version 2.6 while I try to contact the plugin support and run some tests at a secondary site.

    If I find a solution, I’ll publish it.
