Perfect simple solution for my challenge

  • I set up a front page with widgetized content using a plug-in that calls up a title with text and a full background image for the content areas. It uses Pages for the content. The problem was that two of my widget areas actually needed to link to Archives and not Pages. This plug-in solved the issue by allowing me to keep Pages as the content (title, excerpt, and featured image) to appear on the front page, but this plug-in re-directs to the two archive listings. A perfect solution to my problem!

    Great job on this. Working well on 4.6.1.
