Performance issue, pods add another 10 seconds of load time in the backend.

Hi, I have performance issues on my Woocommerce website. I extended the Woocommerce products with a few simple pods fields. But when I list the products in de backend (500 of 6000) it takes about 18 seconds. When I turn of pods this is reduced to 8 seconds. So Pods is adding an extra 10 seconds.
This is what I discovered after some complaints about the overall performance of the website. So my questions is: is this normal?
