Performance: Mega Menu in Block Theme via Shortcode Block vs. Real Block ?

    Hi abitofmind,

    Behind the scenes the code is pretty much identical in terms of rendering the menu. You would need to ask the gutenberg team if the shortcode block adds much additional overhead over a standard block – I can’t imagine there is much difference.

    Should I later get info whether/how the performance differs in regards to the frontend rendering I will add it here.
