Performance options reset by host

Posting an update to @singingcyclist post from 7 months ago, as I am now experiencing the same issues.
I’m using the 123-Reg premium hosting service, and Wordfence scan settings are being automatically changed by their system overnight. For anyone else experiencing the same problem, here’s a response from their support:
I am sorry to let you know that the Wordfence scan setting is changed automatically by our system as we do not allow it to run for more [than 180 seconds].
As you are on a shared hosting environment, the higher amount of resources that the scans need will cause issues on the entire platform.

The longer a script runs, it will put a higher stress on the CPU. The CPU is dynamically allocated to the website and it is a shared resource.Link to @singingcyclist post:
