    Hi,

I have 39 plugins installed, but Pods is among the 3 plugins which slow down my site the most by far.

    See https://i.imgur.com/EEet0Xk.png

Pods takes up more runtime than the 32 slowest plugins of my install combined (other in the graph).

Why is that? How can I speed it up?

    Thanks!

PS: Runtime tested with P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler). You need to switch to PHP 5 to run it because it’s not compatible with PHP 7.

Switching to PHP 5 will definitely exacerbate the performance impact in the results, so that’s skewed a bit. The 0.21 seconds time is not too bad when you consider it’s on PHP 5.

    1. Are you using object caching on your host?
    2. Which host are you on?
    3. How many Pods and Fields do you have (look at Pods Admin > Edit Pods > Top right of the table list there)?

    Hello @nicoter
I’m actually quite familiar with that plugin and have used it in the past for quite a while untill I found out that it’s reports aren’t that reliable..
Also, keep in mind that P3 isn’t updates for 5!!! years..

In the case of Pods the performance is also greatly depending on how you use this plugin (see 3rd point from Scott).
