Performance & Practical User limits in WordPress? What does www.ads-software.com use?
-
Hi,
What platform www.ads-software.com is running on – is it wordpress? If so, I’m hopeful.
I’ve used wordpress on 100+ sites with great success but am now running into problems with membership systems and wanting to find out if I’m pushing the limits and need to alter the site and membership architecture or move to another platform.
Where are the limits or points where alterations might need to be made?
10,000
25,000
50,000
100,000
500,000
1,000,000
???My current adhoc member system that is outside of WP has close to 100,000 users/subscribers (free)… with more serious (paying) ‘members’ at around 2,500.
The plan was to move the most active 30,000 users to a new WP membership system that would ultimately become paying customers/users. The entry to this is free (like www.ads-software.com), so the potential to have 100,000 new users in the first year is likely.
Is WordPress suitable for this? Or do I need to find another platform?
If WP could handle the task, any thoughts on a membership system that could handle it?
Wondering if there may be the need or way to split user tables or more advanced permissions access… not even sure what questions to ask in this area.
Thanks for any insights you can provide!
Cheers and Peace!
