Performance questions
-
Hi,
I′ma using my WordPress multisite for a long and have installed your great plugin also for several years. Since I got an own server with 8 cores, 16GB ram and nginx I wonder why loading of my sites is a little bit slow till the ressources are found. Means: I think it lasts to much time where your plugin redirects from the given subdomain to the permanent redirect domain. I′ve analysed it with P3 Plugin Profiler and nearly 50% of performance issues are related to MU Domain.
I don′t know why. I′am using IP adress of the server for lookup, and have configured the plugin only with permanent redirect. Each site has 2 domains: https://www.xy.de and xy.de, while https://www.xy.de is the primary domain.
At nginx I use the standard rules (https://gist.github.com/benhartwich/983e6b190ea2b10ca094#file-multisite-sample-subdomain-conf , https://gist.github.com/benhartwich/983e6b190ea2b10ca094#file-multisite-mu-domain-mapping-conf) and each domain is routed to the main folder of the wordpress multisite. I don′t know, what can do the trick to get a faster redirect?
Any hints?
Best,
Ben
