    Hi,

I really like your plugin. But only one suggestion need to fix

I am using Mega menu on the header. Only there are one chevron icon I am using on all menu list. But when I check the page performance on GTmetrix, There are 444 KB font file is loading.

    /wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/modules/elementskit-icon-pack/assets/fonts/elementskit.woff?y24e1e

I am not using any other widgets on the page. For only one chevron Icon I must need to activate the Whole Icon pack module.

Can you add the feature for adding Elementor icon? So we can use the already loading the Font-awesome icon or we can upload our custom Icon.

Only we use when Elementskit icon pack required…!

    This will improve site performance.

    Regards,
    Sugumar

  • Hello @wpsugumar ,
Thanks for reaching out to us!

I completely can understand your concern. We haven’t added any controller on the Nav Menu widget to choose a custom Icon. The Submenu selector is currently configured to set an Icon from the ElementsKit Icon Library. It is correct that for one Icon, an Entire Icon File is not required.

Since you’ve brought this to our attention, I will surely discuss about this feature with the Team and see what they think about it. Hopefully, we will be able to figure out an optimal solution.

Let me know if there is anything else that you need help with.

    Best Regards,

    Same problem here, same suggestion

    Same problem here, same suggestion

    OK found a solution:

    Edit the /wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/modules/elementskit-icon-pack/assets/fonts/elementskit.woff

font file with a font editor and delete all unneeded entries. Resulting file size: 2kb it works for me.

Did you guys find any solution to this?! @prosenjitbarman

@revofw See my message above yours.

    @amgberlin That’s a good idea.

Did you delete the font file and re-upload the edited font file on the same path?

Your explanation will be more helpful

@wpsugumar I’ve downloaded the Font file “/wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/modules/elementskit-icon-pack/assets/fonts/elementskit.woff” saved a backup copy. Edited the elementskit.woff with Fontforge “https://fontforge.org/en-US/downloads/” deleted all unneeded icons and left over only the mega menu icons. Exported the modified font file as woff and replaced the old elementskit.woff on my website with the new 2kb font file.

I’ve also modified the other big files:

    ekiticons.css and widget-styles.css

@amgberlin Thanks for the instructions ??

    These 3

    /wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/modules/elementskit-icon-pack/assets/fonts/elementskit.woff
    /wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/modules/elementskit-icon-pack/assets/css/ekiticons.css
    /wp-content/plugins/elementskit-lite/widgets/init/assets/css/widget-styles.css

@amgberlin If possible, Can you share the modified file of both ekiticons.css & widget-styles.css?

Unfortunately this is not possible, the producer of the plugin has the copyright on his files. If I change them and put them into circulation, that is surely a license violation.

But changing the files is easy.

You have to note which icon codes you left in the font file.

Then remove all entries that refer to other icons in the CSS.

Since I only use the Mega Menu, I removed codes that don’t point to the Mega Menu.

@amgberlin This idea is enough. Thank you
