    Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

I have deactivated all the plugins (including buddypress). I am using the bp-fakename (child) theme. It still does not resolve the problem.

how about using twenty twelve theme? just to rule-out any theme-specific problems or if using buddypress you can used its default theme

could it be that you have a lot of locations? there’s a locations dropdown in there that’s causing lags if you have tons of locations. we’ll be changing that soon.

That good be factor. We are using the event for an organization that has 69 running groups through the US. Right now, we are at a standstill. I can’t make any changes to the settings. It will not accept it. Also, not able to see the email tab is frustrating as members are stating that they are not receiving cancellation email regarding an event.

68 locations wouldn’t be enough to create such a slowdown, I’m thinking hudreds (closer to 1000+)

is it only the settings page?

my guess is your script is timing out. try turning on WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file and see if there’s a meaningful error posted somewhere

Sorry for the confusion, we have 69 running groups and each running groups have multiple locations. So far I show, 559 locations created

It sounds like the number of locations could be the issue but I’d try setting WP_DEBUG to true in your config file to see if it turns up anything useful.

ok that’s more like it ??

yes that’d be why it’s slowing the page down. I’m planning to change that field and use a text field where users put the location ID instead.
