• Hello,

is there any way to change the permalink structure of my website like this?

I want to change the permalink structure to my blog posts, and only to my blog posts. Categories and tags should stay as they are.

The blog posts are now like: mysite.com/category/post name but I want mysite.com/isola-di-govinda/post name. (isola di govinda is the name of my blog)

On the other hand, there is something important. For a plugin, I need this:

Inside WordPress under “Permalink” I have the custom permalink structure that is?mysite.com//%category%/%postname%/?but for me it is important to have this to?mysite.com/%postname%/

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards

  • Just select “Post name” as your desired Permalink structure.

    @gappiah thank you.

If I set only Post name in my permalink, automatically the url of my blog articles will be my site.com/isola-di-govinda/article title?

Sorry, but you said two different things in your original post… and only the last one stuck in my head — hence my response ??

The blog posts are now like: mysite.com/category/post name but I want mysite.com/isola-di-govinda/post name. (isola di govinda is the name of my blog)

Inside WordPress under “Permalink” I have the custom permalink structure that is mysite.com//%category%/%postname%/ but for me it is important to have this to mysite.com/%postname%/

So what do you really want?

The seond is what I responded to.

The first is not possible out of the box: you’ll need to use a plugin or write some custom code.

    Hello @gappiah

    no problem ??

    I want

1 on one hand this structure of my permalink under “Permalink” within WordPress dashboard: mysite.com/%postname%/

2 on the other hand I want only my blog articles to have this structure: mysite.com/isola-di-govinda/article-title

You said that for the second part I need a plugin or a custom code. I prefer a custom code. Do you have any custom code for that? Or a website, or a tutorial?

    Best regards
