Permalink and Page name

    I would like to setup wordpress so that my permalinks would be of this format:

    https://www.domain.com/archives/2006…
    so obviously, I set it in the options menu for permalinks to
    /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    but here’s the catch! I have a page called archives, that runs off a page template and generates a summary of my archives.

    WordPress doesn’t like that at all… it just throws a 404 back at me everytime and I can’t figure out why.

    Can anybody help?

    Ah.

    It was my stupidity.

    I was using the same structure for categories and it wasn’t liking that. My bad everybody.
