permalink and page title

When I am editing my page(s) the permalinks shown there are exactly what I want.
example: https://mydomain.com/wordpress/my-page

However, scroll down to the SEO section in “preview snippet” and it shows an ugly permalink with page_id=”#” (whatever the page number is)

Also, when I preview the page it shows the page number in address bar and not the “page title”.

I have done the custom structure /%postname%/

What is going on? What am I missing?
