• Hi. From 4 years ago that I started learning WordPress, I’m seeking for a solution to this bug:
    https://uupload.ir/files/cby_wordpress-bug.jpg
You can never have a clean URL structure for your blog like this:
    mmirzaee.ir/blog/post-name/
    .
Why? Because all your posts and categories will be 404!
(I’m not talking about past URLs. I mean new URLs are also 404!!! Yes It’s possible. Try yourself!)
It will happens when you fill out “Category Base” property + adding sth before URL structure at form.
fill out forms exactly like image please!
    .
I’m using latest wordpress version (5.4.1)
When I was testing this bug, no plugins were activated.

  • Single post: example.com/blog/post-name
    posts archive: example.com/blog/
    category archive: example.com/blog/category-name/

Is the above what you are trying to achieve? This is a tricky problem. My fix only works for new posts. Set the permalink structure as

    /blog/%postname%/

    as in the screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/ljmOwSc

Then create a new category called “Blog” with slug “blog” and set it to parent of all categories

Whenever you create a new post you can assign any category except Blog and the permalink structure will work.

Hi there. I′m having an issue with the permalink to my homepage. It′s a dropdown menu, the 1st item is Home (https://localhost/tema/home) with the link above, then 2 items above, working well. But when I try to go back to the homepage, it doesn’t o anything. Can someone try to explain that to me, please? thank you.
