Permalink issue

  • I have been using wp 4.0 for a few weeks and now I’ve just updated to Woo 2.2.4.

    Prior to updating to 2.2.4 I had my products with a permalink base of /products/%product_cat%

    I also have a page in WordPress with a slug of products which I use as my main shop page.

    Prior to the update I could access categories by visiting /products/category and it worked just fine.

    Since the update I get 404 if I try and visit a category page, the product pages still work fine and show the url as /products/category/product.

    I’ve tried setting the products category base as products but this makes no difference, I’ve saved multiple times and flushed caches more times than I care to remember but it still fails with a 404 if I try to visit a category page. I get the same 404 if I click on the actual category in the the category section of woo Admin.

    What can I do to fix this please? It’s the only issue I’ve come across with 2.2 since installing.

    Also if I change the product permalink so that they are something like shop/category/ product instead for products/caetgory/product the category pages appear to work again? There’s obviously something weird clashing in 2.2 that didn’t clash when it was running 2.1

    I have the same issue. I cannot get the product pages to work.

    Figured out my issue. I was including a taxonomy from another file with the same name in the functions.php file. Resolved.
