• My site is https://www.webthingsconsidered.com

I just switched to dreamhost (unix/apache) from a windows/iis host. My site was using the /index.php/ style of permalinks on the old host successfully. After switching, it’s not working anymore. I get the “No input file specified.” error when trying to access a permalink.

I have an empty .htaccess file in the web root (dreamhost seems to create one for you with all of the wordpress rules in it if you delete it, so I just emptied it out), and the same permalink structure setup in wordpress (/index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/) as before. I’ve tried with and without the php.ini file just to see if that was the problem, and it didn’t help.

Any advice for clearing this up?

Hmm. Never mind. It seems to be working now. I just changed the site config to use PHP 5, so maybe that did it.
