permalink issues

Hi –
I just attempted to change my permalink structure to a custom structure based on the command /%category%/%postname%/ – once I saved it , all my pages seemed to work fine with the exception of my actual blog page. The whole site is written in work press and has several tabs, blog being the last. What I did notice is that the old url with the old structure still worked (the new one /blog/ did not which meant that my top nav didnt work either). I thought that perhaps if I installed the redirection plugin and redirected the old url to the new url then that would solve my problem (I had planned to redirect the other pages anyway)….that still didn’t work.

Anyone have any ideas for me? Our url is https://www.labelle-wastesystems.com – I did revert back to the old permalinking structure because I want to make sure that people can find our blog, but would love to solve this problem.
