Permalink Not Working

  • Guys, I need urgent help.
    My blog homepage is working fine, but none of the links are working. For example, I click on one of the post, and I get this following error:

    Not Found
    The requested URL /2007/04/25/the-damned-birds/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Please Help. Thanks!

  • I’d say your Permalinks aren’t working (at a guess — a link to your site might be helpful). Check that page for troubleshooting tips.

    In particular, confirm with your host that mod_rewrite and AllowOverride are both on and enabled.

    If you visit Options -> Permalinks and set them to “Default” do your links work?

    I have set the Permalinks to default, and its working, I don’t understand why. I wanted my link to show only /%postname%/

    I have updated the .htaccess to allow overwrite and updating the file.
