Permalink problem

I have the titles of my posts as permalinks (standard practice as far as I can gather) except the link points to:
https://keithneilson.co.uk/vision-of-a-cyberstate/1/%EF%BF%BDhttps://keithneilson.co.uk/vision-of-a-cyberstate/%EF%BF%BD
and takes you back to the main page and not to the post page.
I’ve set the permalink structure to Custom:/%postname%/.
Has anyone any idea why this might be happening?
