    What is the %name here% for post description in the Custom Structure area in Permalinks? For example, I have this right now: /%category%/%postname%/

    I would like to add the description to end. How can I do this?

    I want to put the description of the post in my custom permalink structure. What would I type at the end of this?: /%category%/%postname%/

    I’m sorry, I have no idea what you mean by ‘description’. I mean, I know what the word means, just not in relation to WordPress blog posts.

    Is this a custom field you put in your posts?

    You have to use one of the structure tags listed here for your permalinks and %description% isn’t one of them. I’m (pretty) sure you can create your own permalink tags via a plugin if you want to dig into that subsystem, but I’ve never tried to do it.
