permalink redirect

  • Hi,

    I currently have permalink set to postname only. I am thinking of converting to category/postname. I know my previous permalink will stop working for that i will have to do a 301 redirect in the htaccess. Can anyone tell me how do i do that.

    P.S Is it worth it? I’ve heard category/postname is SEO friendly. And will all the social links be gone?
