    Hello.
I see this post with the same issue is marked as resolved but I have the exact same issue and the latest version of the plugin hasn’t resolved this for us: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/permalink-migration-not-working/

We would like to update the permalink structure from /%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/
I have added /%postname%/ into the Permalink Migration field of the plugin and then updated the permalinks. No redirects have been created and posts now go to a 404 page.
Have we missed a step somewhere or is this not working properly? I note there is a message about it still being a beta in beta?

    Many thanks

    D

It is working properly. However, as detailed, it doesn’t handle every situation and a future update may expand it further.

    Hi John
    Thanks for the response.
    Maybe I have misunderstood then.
When you say it is working properly, what is it doing currently with my redirects after I’ve updated the permalinks?
I was expecting it to redirect anything pointing to /postname/ to /category/postname/
Is there something I haven’t done correctly?
Is there any way we can achieve the above?

    Many thanks

The permalink migration feature is in beta and it doesn’t handle every permalink, including yours. This is as intended. At some point in the future it may handle every type of permalink. Right now there is nothing you can do.
