• Hello, I’m trying to create a blog titled with this permalink “www.domain.com/seo-blog”

but when i go to “pages>create new” and type in (seo-blog) the link looks like its going to work in the permalink section, but as soon as i go to “page attributes” on the side of the page and under Parent click Blog, and blog list. it completely changes the permalink structure to this

is there a way to create a blog without using the page attributes or something? i just want a blog similar to the looks of “blog list” in my themes dummy content, and i want it to be this structure https://www.domain.com/seo-blog. i messaged them about this issue and they told me to come here

  • Hi,

You experience this bc. how you can check on the right side of your screenshot – Parent attributes you selected Parent page as Blog. You should check “No parent” that it is the top level of URL.
Also don’t forget in Settings – Reading – Post Page to select “Seo blog” page.
Then all your blog post will show there.
So you don’t need paged blog and home-blog for this.
