Permalinks & ?Server Load

  • Hello,

    Since about 2 weeks i was facing very annoying issue with my wordpress site, the dashboard is very slow, and once i start clicking through the dashboard the load spikes on the server, specifically when i try to add a new post, it takes more than 5 mins to add a post and sometimes i got (504 time out error)

    This issue was because i have post name on the Permalinks, once i switch the permalinks to the default everything works fine.

    What i need now is to go back to the custom permalinks structure so i can have the post name in the permalinks without making any slowness issues.

    Any one have an idea?

    One of your plugins could be affecting load. So first, try deactivating all plugins, and if load time decreases, reactivate each on individually until you find the cause.

    I have already did that but it doesn’t help!

    Then I can only guess that this is a server performance issue. Have you spoken to your hosts about it?
