    Based on your post, it sounds like you had tried setting the “Category Base” field on the Permalinks page to blank?

    HS,
    I had to recreate all the subs agian for articles and relink all the articles. Not sure what the problem was, but it wasn’t fun! Very time consuming. Thanks for looking.
