Permalinks are plain for all jobs

    I have WP Job Manager installed on 2 sites. On one site, the jobs have SEO friendly URLs. On the other site, the jobs have plain urls (starting with ‘?’) while the rest of the site has SEO friendly URLs.

    Clearing the cache & re-saving the permalink settings (repeatedly) has not worked. Both sites are updated with regards to WP Core and all plugins and are hosted on the same server in the same account. They’re using the same theme and the settings are virtually identical.

    The site with the problem does have a couple of active plugins that are different (disabling them is my next step) but aside from that is there anything else that might be at fault?

    The Job Listing URL should follow your permalink settings.

    What permalink setting are you using on the site?

    I would recommend trying out these steps to check for any plugin conflict:

    1. Install Health Check plugin on your site
    2. Download and install Twenty Twenty-Three on your site if not installed already
    3. Go to Installed Plugins. Click Troubleshoot on WP Job Manager
    4. Try checking the Job Listing URL
    5. Once you are done, go back to wp-admin and disable troubleshooting mode through the top bar.

    Permalinks are set to %POSTNAME% on both sites. I’ll troubleshoot & get back to you.

    In Troubleshooting mode using Twenty Twenty-Three, the URLs were still plain and not human readable.

    I just figured the problem out – there must have been an expiration set at some point (currently the Settings field is blank). So publishing the jobs again fixed the URL.
