Permalinks Does NOT work in 2.5.1 :(

  • Like Cattykool, I also have problem with
    getting permalinks to work.

    I tried a couple of options, the links are changed to the more SE friendly style BUT the page is not found on server ??

    I changed my .htaccess file to 777 as well – but WP still thinks it can not get access – so I updated the file manually BUT
    It still doesn’t work ??

    Would be great if someone could help on this.

  • We don’t know who Cattykool is and not really interested to find out.
    However, more detailed info about YOUR site would be helpful.

    New install or upgrade?
    Have the permalinks ever worked?
    Server details?
    and most imporatantly – a LINK to see what’s going on.

    I assume you already found and read the Using_Permalinks article and the troubleshooting methods described there. So, in your next post, please, describe what did you try to make them work…

    My problem was that in Settings – General I had not set up the blog URL correctly. Check that yours id pointing to the correct directory.
