Permalinks issue

    I seem to have a problem with this site https://new.jimcosgrove.com. Whenever I change the permalinks to anything other than default I receive a 404 error. I’ve changed the .htaccess file to 755 777 and neither makes a difference. I copied code from other sites and the weird thing is when I add /index.php/%postname% it works but I do not want index.php in each page. I am still searching the web but does anyone know how to fix this?
