I had to move my existing wordpress install from one domain name to another. followed all the protocols. Made backups of DB and did the move from DomainA.com to DomainB.com. Added the DB’s and changed the info in the wp-config to reflect the changes. For the db I created a blank mysql db with user name and password. Then I imported the old db tables into the new db, then I added the new username, db name and localhost settings to the wp-config.

I can log in to the WP site (multi-site setup as well). Everything is there and everything seems to be working except PERMALINKS.

When I go to the permalinks all the settings show the old domainA.com. When I open a page it shows the url as the old https://domainA.com/pagename/. When I create a page the same thing happens the old domainA.com shows up.

Where on the DB do I make the changes to show the new domainB.com so it is now the default domain.

    Thank you

Okay I found the problem after finally search through several dozen support pages. Must of missed that topic earlier.

Went into the phpadmin under wp-options, looked for the permalink table/fields and made the adjustments. Also scanned a few more pages in that wp-options and found a few more fields that needed adjusting and now it all seems to be working.

just in case anyone else is wondering . . .
