Permalinks not working

Hi and sorry as I have ready many posts on this topic but none seam to have my answer.

I have just updated to 3.5.1 and now and new pages I create go to a 404 error page when I switch on pretty permalinks, the old page however do still work.

I have tryed deleting the old htacess and letting wordpress creating a new one, disabling the plugins and I am hosted with godaddy so I can’t change the ‘Enabled the rewrite mod’ thing that I keep coming accross.

Please help as I have had to turn off my pretty permalinks for now and am struggling to find an answer.
