Permalinks not working after Upgrade from 2.2.0 to 3.1.1

hej ben.
i also have an issue with permalinks on 3.1.1 on WP multisite.
happend first today with wp 4.9.3 and 4.9.4.
any idea so far?

Switching to Post ID in the Permalinks section got the links working again for me, but this is not ideal. I prefer post name based links.

Okay, I did some more digging. In a multisite WordPress, the plugin uploads files to blogs.dir/1/, which is the primary blog/site ID. It should be upload to the appropriate site ID.

Are all the users having trouble with permalinks on multisite?

My Installation is a normal one, no multisite.

I too am having this issue. Using WordPress V4.9.4. Not multisite. I have tried upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.1.1 and it breaks all document links getting 404 page not found. Returning plugin back to 3.0.1 and document links resolve.

I’m on WordPress 4.9.4 multisite.

Switching the Permalink structure to “Plain” makes the links work. So plain permalinks that work on my WordPress install would look something like this: https://www.mywebsite.com/subsite/?post_type=document&p=123

If I switch back to any permalink structure besides “Plain” I get 404 errors and the permalinks look like: https://www.mywebsite.com/subsite/documents/2018/02/filename.pdf

I don’t see any errors in the log files.

Edit: I can also confirm that the problem is from the 3.0.1 version to the 3.1.0 version. Rolling back to the 3.0.1 version from the 3.1.0 or 3.1.1 versions fixes the issue.

I believe https://github.com/benbalter/wp-document-revisions/pull/119 may fix this. Please try version 3.1.2.
