For a couple weeks some of my permalinks within blog posts have not been working. It was always selective, never ALL sitewide links to a certain page or anything like that. And never any 404 errors or any of that stuff. They were simply COMPLETELY unresponsive, as if there was nothing even there to click. At first I was completely baffled; then I noticed neither can I highlight the paragraphs surrounding where the links are. It also seems completely unresponsive.

I finally realized that ANYWHERE THE MAIN CONTENT TEXT IS EVEN WITH MY SIDEBAR, it seems completely unresponsive. Once I scroll below, the links and highlighting work just fine. I’m setting out to try various things but am rather new at all this and have already spent hours trying. I thought the forums might be far faster. Any tips?

I think you mean links, not permalinks. If so, you may want to edit your query. (Permalinks have to do with your URL structure.)

The last bit of your sidebar that I see is the “Finding Inspiration” widget. Do you mean that any links in the main content area above the end of that widget don’t work?

FWIW, I don’t see any links in the content area of that post until the very bottom.

hey @kjodle! Thanks for the help! Yeah I did mean links, thanks for that. I’m still new to all this. . . .

Anyway, I got it all figured out! Thanks for the help though! I really don’t know what was wrong. Yes, any links in the main content area above that widget didnt work. I ended up just recreating the sidebar with the exact same widgets, and now everything works fine. And yeah, among all my tinkerings i ended up removing the links in that area. . . .

thanks again for your help and sorry it wasnt all that clear!

No problems; I’m glad you got it worked out.

It sounds like there may have been an unclosed tag somewhere in your sidebar that was throwing things off.
